Zephyrs seeking first win

Zephyrs travel to Massena
AMSTERDAM - Last Saturday the Amsterdam Zephyrs gave the Empire Football League top team, the Plattsburgh North Stars all they could handle but came up on the short end of the 6-3 final score. Tonight, the 0-3 Zephyrs will look to put their first win of the season in the books as they travel to Massena to take on the Silver and Black Raiders.
Against the North Stars, the Zephyrs defense shone and put together a strong offensive drive with five minutes remaining only to be hit by a penalty after driving deep into Plattsburgh territory that took them out of field goal range.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Potsdam High School. The Zephyrs return to their home turn at the Lynch Literacy Academy Aug. 14 and Aug. 21 for Empire Football League games against the Watertown Red and Black and Broome County Dragons respectively.
