DeLAND, Fla. — Playing in its first national semiprofessional football bowl game, the Watertown Red and Black lost 7-6 Sunday to the Carolina Express in the Orange Blossom Bowl at Spec Martin Stadium.

Anthony Noel scored on a 28-yard touchdown pass from Brian Williams for Watertown, which qualified by winning the Empire Football League title.

The Red and Black advanced inside Carolina's 20 late in the second half, but the Express blocked a potential game-winning field goal attempt.
