Watertown Red and Black vs. Monroe County Sting

Harvest Bowl Tournament

When, where: 7 p.m., today, Watertown High School

Records: Watertown (10-2); Monroe County (12-3).

Last meeting: June 16, Watertown won 16-0.

Notes: The Sting is likely much different than the team Watertown shut out during the preseason. Monroe County is coming off two big victories, having won the New York Amateur Football League title, 27-14, over the previously unbeaten Central New York (Syracuse) Express Oct. 27. Last week, the Sting beat the Albany MetroMallers 12-7 in the first round of the Harvest Bowl. ... The Red and Black hasn't played since an Oct. 13 loss to Vermont in the EFL title game, and could be a bit rusty. But the team did score more points (325) than any EFL team, and allowed the least (88). Watertown finished with an EFL best 2,196 rushing yards. ... QB Doug Black appears to be back with the team — again. He and Todd Kiechle split snaps during Thursday's practice at Watertown High School. ... Admission prices remain the same. Adult tickets are $7, students at $4, and children under 10 are admitted free.
