August 10, 2005
The Albany Metro Mallers have announced the signing of Vinnie Cirincione, Placekicking Ace of the Albany Conquest to their roster. Cirincione has spent the 2004 & most of the 2005 Arena Football 2 Seasons with the crosstown Albany Conquest where he holds franchise records for PAT's in a game (7), Field Goals in a game (2), and for distance with a 56 yarder on the record books. He became a fan favorite at the Pepsi Arena for his booming kickoffs which would regularly sail over the rebound nets into the arena seats for touchbacks. Metro Maller General Manager Joe Barbagallo noted Vinnie's powerful leg should translate well to the outdoor game. The Brooklyn born kicker, known as "Vinnie C" will rejoin former Conquest Teammates Jarris "Train" Jones and Gabe Young on the undefeated, unscored upon Metro Mallers, in time for this Saturday's non-league semi-pro showdown at Albany's Bleecker Stadium against the 2004-5 National Champion Central NY Express from Syracuse.

CNY represents the NYAFL while Albany is from the Empire Football League. Both Teams come into the game at 5-0 on the 2005 season, and Albany is unscored upon in the regular season, outscoring their opponents 178-0. Kick-off for Saturdays game is 8:00 PM.
