Bulldogs blank Dragons in football opener

The Orange County Bulldogs opened their season with a 21-0 rout of the Broome County Dragons last night at Smith Clove Park in Monroe in an Empire Football League game.
Quarterback Dave Post threw for 158 yards and a touchdown to Ricky McVay for the Bulldogs. McVay finished with six catches for 96 yards. Ray Morales rushed 16 times for 86 yards and a touchdown and Maurice Nash had a 40-yard interception return for the other touchdown.
The Bulldogs next play the St. Lawrence Valley Trail Blazers at 7:30 p.m. July 23 in Monroe.
