Albany Metro Mallers Host Scranton Eagles

Saturday Night at 7:30, football makes its return to the gridiron for 2005, as the Albany Metro Mallers take the field at Albany's historic Bleecker Stadium as the 2005 Empire Football League season kicks off as the Mallers host The Scranton Eagles.

Sal Ivarone, Scott Lawson, and Jeff Turman will lead Albany in their second season opener since they returned to the football scene in 2004 after a multi-year hiatus.

Last season ended with the Mallers dropping a 17-0 decision at the hands of The Glens Falls Greenjackets in the Championship game of the EFL after a 12-2 run through the regular season & playoffs. This season the EFL has reorganized as a 10 team single division team, with every team meeting once in the regular season, which will conclude in October.

Metro Maller Football is Fan Friendly - Family Friendly Sports Entertainment & features low cost tickets and concessions making it an affordable sports value to the average fan.
Tickets are $6 for Adult General Admission, $4 for Seniors & Students w/ID, $3 for Children 6-12 and Children 5 & under are free with a paid adult. Tickets are available at the Stadium Ticket Tent.
