EFL Participates In Commercial With Donovan McNabb

Well, It's A Wrap
The filming of a commercial with Donovan McNabb and 5 other Philadelphia Eagles is scheduled to start 5:30am Monday, May 9th at the Meadowlands Stadium. This project is the result of a phone call I received 2 weeks ago from a casting agency looking for 43 football players to participate in a commercial with NFL football players. Their preference was semi-pro football players for obvious reasons; costs, residuals, availability, etc. As a result, I contacted our teams in the Empire Football League and invited them to participate as a team fundraiser. We are even providing some of our game officials!
As it stands right now, the script is the Cleveland Browns vs the Philadelphia Eagles. The NFL players will be Donovan McNabb, Fraley (his center), Douglas, Devon Curtis, Dawkins and Westbrook. They are flying in Jamil Burke, an ex Falcons QB, as a McNabb look a like since there will be live action hitting, tackling, etc. There will be 31 ball players from the Empire Football League teams of Scranton, Binghamton, and Watertown and 6 players form NYC and NJ teams. By the way, our Watertown Head Coach was signed on as technical advisor.
Needless to say, everyone in the Empire Football League is on cloud nine at this point!
